Colourific Coatings Ltd. has been acquired by Cassiar Partners.
Coldwater acted as the exclusive M&A advisor to Colourific Coatings (“Colourific” or the “Company“) in connection with its sale to Cassiar Partners Limited Partnership (“Cassiar”).
Colourific, based in the Greater Toronto Area, is a custom powder coater known for its best-in-class quality and quick turnaround times. Cassiar Partners is a Canadian investment firm that specializes in direct investments into companies pursuing succession alternatives, with a focus on supporting management teams and driving growth.
Coldwater navigated the transaction through headwinds caused by the pandemic, which included an initial buyer aborting the process. Leveraging a deep and meaningful buyer pool, Coldwater successfully re-engaged with a new acquirer and delivered a favourable outcome for shareholders. Coldwater additionally structured employee participation in the ownership group on tax-favourable terms, strengthening the long-term continuity of the business.
