CRS CraneSystems Inc. has been acquired by WF Steel & Crane.
Coldwater acted as a strategic advisor to CRS CraneSystems Inc. (“CRS” or the “Company“) in connection with the carve-out sale of its service division to WF Steel & Crane (“WF“).
Headquartered in Sherwood Park, Alberta, CRS is a leading Canadian manufacturer and service provider of overhead bridge cranes, with operations spanning Alberta, British Columbia, Ontario, the Pacific Northwest, and Central America. WF Steel & Crane, based in Western Canada, is a recognized steel fabrication and crane service provider with a strong presence in the region.
Coldwater identified the strategic fit between CRS and WF, connected the parties, and facilitated the divestiture of CRS’ service division, which was carved out and segregated from the broader business. This transaction highlighted Coldwater’s ability to deliver value in strategic introductions and carve-out situations, while also extending the firm’s advisory reach beyond Ontario into Western Canada.
