The Jonah Group Ltd. has been acquired by 3Pillar Global Inc.
Coldwater acted as the exclusive M&A advisor to The Jonah Group, Ltd. (“Jonah Group” or the “Company”) on its sale to 3Pillar Global, Inc. (“3Pillar”).
Founded in 2001, the Company is a premier custom software development firm that provides software solutions to some of Canada’s largest companies within the capital markets, wealth management, tax, legal, and insurance industries.
3Pillar is a product lifecycle management and software product development company based in Virginia, United States. In November 2021, 3Pillar was acquired by H.I.G. Capital, a Miami, Florida–based private equity firm with $53 billion of equity capital under management.
This acquisition is the latest in a line of strategic acquisitions by 3Pillar as a part of its accelerated growth strategy. The addition of Jonah Group further grows 3Pillar’s global footprint and expands the combined team to more than 2,300 employees across nine countries.
Coldwater identified 3Pillar as a strategic acquirer backed by a leading global private equity fund and led a competitive process in the face of pandemic-related industry headwinds. By navigating a challenging talent environment in which custom developers commanded premium compensation, Coldwater secured a transaction that delivered a strong outcome for Jonah Group’s shareholders.
